| Hello friends,
It has been awhile since I given a "decent" update/blog on here. The past week has been extremely hectic with work, shopping for endless bday presents, planning my vacation at the end of this week...been averaging maybe 5 hrs of sleep per night even on the weekends...Im gonna get sick soon at this rate. *knock on wood*
Thursday night, got off work and drove from downtown to Coquitlam for Tracy's bday dinner @ Joey Tomatoes. Surprisingly, I was one of the first ones there. We ordered some drinks at the bar while waiting for everyone to arrive. The only thing I dont like about Joey T's is that their tables are nailed to the ground...so Tracy's group was split up into 5 different tables. I ended up sitting with Janet, Roger, Angelina, Jackson and Roy who came later. I think we were the rowdy bunch...we constantly made sick, perverted jokes all night...I guess that's what happens when u have Janet and Roger at the same table! lol I ordered the half rack of ribs with fries and coleslaw and a pint of Stella Artois. For dessert, I got Tracy a "muff diver" or another common name is the "blowjob" drink. For a girl who never had the drink before, she sure was quick, 5 seconds and she got the shot out! 5 seconds...so quick la!!! After the "quick drink", we all chatted for a bit and Tracy opened up all her presents. Called it a night around 11. Friday night was Janet's bday dinner @ Fogg N Suds in downtown. Party started at 730...I got off work at 5 so didnt want to leave downtown. I purprosely left work late since I had to wait for Tracy, Judy and Angelina. So I got to my car around 6...and pretty much listened to my music and took a nap in the car while waiting for the girls to arrive. ( Ok, now guys, if a girl says she'll get there around 645...usually u have to give them anywhere from 15-60 mins of tardiness.) Well, they didnt reach downtown until 730! The price I paid just to leave my car in one spot for the day..."sigh". So we arrived at Fogg N Suds and the table they were seated at was already full, so the servers had to move all of us to another table. Lots of new faces that night, but really cool people...portions were huge as well as the drinks. The server put my bill as the bday girl's bill so he wrote that one off hahaa. So in the end I just paid for someone;s dinner which was less than mine. After finishing off the bday cake, some of us went down to Plaza for clubbin. Jackson made a surprise appearance and Howie came down as well since he sounded like he was in a clubbin mood. The stupid guestlist only marked down the bday girl plus 10 guests...and we had 12 ppl...soooooooo Howie and I were the ones extra and had to pay $20 per head to get in! Let's just say I wasnt too happy about that, but I let it slide so it wouldnt ruin my mood for the night. The music was ummmm..."different". Cant say I was too crazy about it...the DJ would put a couple of hip hop songs...and out of nowhere, would pop in some rock...and I'm talking about Guns N Roses rock. Hey I like them but not in a club...give me some 50 Cent or Snoop anyday! Only stayed still 1am since Tracy's car would have been locked in the parkade if we didnt leave by then. | | |
| 16 months after my last visit to HK, looks like I'm gonna make another trip there in June. It was suppose to be a family trip but since my parents couldnt get any time off from work, it'll just be my brother and I. Having said that, I'm sure I have to worry about going out on my own in a place where I had to learn the streets and how to get around from scratch. But, I'm sure I'll have to take him to places that I've seen during my last trip there. Granted, I dont have too much on my itnerary...but there were a few things I didnt see or do...actually spending a night in Lan Kwai Fong...didnt see Po Lin Temple...didnt check out the clubbin scene, just to name a few.
There's a chance we may visit Japan during the second half of my vacation since my cousin makes frequent visits and is familiar with how to get around and what to see and do. I cant wait, I always wanted to visit Japan...even just for a few days and check out the culture...buy practically everything I see...
With only 2 weeks, it doesnt leave me much time, so I'm gonna have to make the most of it. Oh yeah, need to find a new camera over there...my current one is TOO ghetto!

| Do any of you wonder about what it really means when someone you're interested in says "they value the friendship too much to risk it by going into a serious relationship"?
This topic has been on my mind for sometime since I've been on the receiving end of that kind of comment as well as a few other friends who I've talked to about this issue. On the surface of the comment, it does make sense...since relationships are so risky and if something did go wrong and the two parties broke up, then the friendship could be totally different. On the other hand, if two people are mature enough I think the friendship could still continue if the bf-gf relationship ended up not working in the end.
Some people say that once you're too deep into the "friends zone", then it's almost impossible to get out and enter into the "bf-gf zone". If that's true then it does backup the idea of not risking the friendship for a chance at being bf-gf. However, being in a relationship before, it's an entirely different world than being friends with someone. Being friends is great and there's always lots of good times, but I always saw the "bf-gf" thing to be the "next level"...another step up on the happiness meter. Like the old saying goes, "you cant make an omlette without first breaking some eggs". In other words, you need to take a chance to get something even better, dont settle for what u already have.
My personal opinion on the whole "not risking the friendship thing for a chance at being bf-gf" is against it. I dont really buy it because who can say whether our friendship would last if we dont end up being bf-gf. There's no SURE things in life...sometimes it's the fear that holds us back and if it's not that then the excuse of valuing the friendship too much is just a cover up. I rather just take a simple response like "no, I dont see you in that way"...I can take that better than the "not risking the friendship" story.
What do u guys think?
